I am a Chartered and HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist who works therapeutically with young people and adults with psychological difficulties including low mood/depression, anxiety, worry, trauma, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, problems with sleep, OCD, body image difficulties and low self esteem.
I have over 10 years’ experience working in both private and NHS settings including working in community teams, primary care settings and large teaching hospitals. In my recent NHS post, I am currently working as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in a large teaching hospital in Surrey helping to improve the wellbeing of those living with chronic health conditions. I have also worked in the specialist OCD clinic in the Maudsley Hospital in London obtaining specific clinical experience and worked on several published research projects. I also have experience working in an eating disorders unit for adolescents in Buckinghamshire. Finally, I have experience supervising Clinical Psychologists and other health professionals (including nurses, physiotherapists) in addition to teaching and consultation.
As stated above, I can work therapeutically with many different presentations however I also have
particular expertise in the following:
- Pain Management / chronic fatigue managements
- Anxiety/panic/OCD and body dysmorphia
- Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Working with clients who have a physical health condition which is impacting on their wellbeing e.g. cancer diagnosis, epilepsy, skin conditions, fatigue, cystic fibrosis.
